What type of prior experience do I need to have?

For the ”Guier Fence Professional” concept, no prior construction trade or home improvement experience or carpentry skills are necessary.  From learning how to install a fence, obtaining necessary sales skills, effective customer interaction, administrative and time management — our corporate staff will provide excellent training to ensure you are setup to succeed.

For the retail showroom concept, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire business, including installations.  It is critical that you have good management and relationship-building skills.  Construction trade experience is helpful but not necessary.  Management, relationship-building, sales and customer-interaction skills are also very important.  Regardless of your skills or background, or the selected franchise business model, we will provide the tools and training you need to run your own Guier Fence business.  We do, of course, also expect that you have the right amount of capital to invest in the franchise.

How much will the Guier Fence franchise investment cost me?

The estimated required investment for a start-up franchise ranges from $53,000-$127,850 for the Guier Fence Professional concept; and $270,153 – $553,173 for the retail showroom concept.  As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.

Are there ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?

Franchisees will pay a percentage-based royalty of four percent (4%).  These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of new products, procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to spend minimum of 2% of revenues on local marketing.  Franchisees will also be required to contribute 1% of their revenue toward a system marketing fund.  Funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Guier Fence brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials.

Is financing available?

No, we do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending agencies, on a case-by-case basis.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?

For the home-based Guier Fence professional option, the initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with possible five-year renewal terms for both concepts.
